Clunking in rear suspension

I installed coilovers at the beginning of 2014, motion control shocks, a combination of ground control and swift springs and all the little things that go with it. I immediately had very audible clunking/rattling from the rear suspension but everything always checks out as properly installed when I get it looked at. I had it up on a lift today and was looking around, the ground control height adjusters/spring perches in the rear seem to have a lot of room around them, maybe them bouncing on the suspension arm as the suspension moves around is causing it? Does this pic look correct or there's too much room around them?

Do you have the height adjuster on the bottom? I was under the impression they sat on top and plugged into the frame.

Pig Farmer is correct. The GC adjusters go on top of the spring. No wonder it rattles!

Yep, rideheight adjusters need to go up top. Hammer out the existing cup and it should pressure fit into place...Although that looks like it almost utilizes the cup in place.

Yes, the height adjusters must go on top. If you are taking it apart, you may as well add some thrust sheets to prevent spring to control arm contact, another source of noise.

Hi Harold,
I flipped these into the proper position, wasn't hard other than needing a shop to do alignment after and though a little quieter, didn't solve the noise. So, where would the thrusts sheets go, can you post a link to where one could buy them, and for those on here not familiar like myself, whats the idea behind them?
Thank You,
Spencer

The thrust sheets sit between the spring and the spring's contact point with the height adjuster and the camber link. The thrust sheets consist of 2 stainless steel sheets and 2 nylon sheets. They reduce friction/binding/noise between the contact points when the spring twists under compression, and they work great. You can purchase them from Harold at:

Make sure the shop installs them correctly. In addition to the proper location as Pig Farmer describes, the metal sheet directly contacts the spring, and the plastic sheet sits against the perch or height adjuster. My shop put them on the other way around.
The supplied instructions are relatively clear but the colors they use to distinguish the plastic from steel sheet make it misleading at first glance.
