best coffee commuter mug
So i know this seems random, but over the last several years I have been searching for the perfect travel mug to fit the 1 series cup holders. They are a small size and it is tough to find any that fit and are decent to drink out of.
So post up what you have found. |

I like the BMW cup, but I only have the in-console holders and it only fits in the front holder. Which then means it is in the way when I am shifting. So I don't use it much.
Guess I am not the right one to comment. |

I would highly recommend these they are expensive by keeps stuff hot or cold for hours. I can put coffee in it in the morning and the last sip is still hot five hours later, I don't mean warm, I mean hot!
I have both a 12 and 16 oz and my wife has a 20 oz. They easily fit in all the cup holders. www.Amazon.com: Zojirushi SM-SA60-BA Stainless Steel Mug, 20-Ounce, Black |

I use a Yeti 20oz tumbler in the front cup holder. I wish it would fit in the rear cupholder for more room to shift, but does the job just fine.

This one fits great, and is inexpensive, double walled and dishwasher proof. Comes with or without a handle. Interestingly, on the cup with a handle, you can screw the top on so it is oriented correctly for left or right handers.

You'll notice that most of the BMW mugs are modest in height. The trick is to get something not too tall, but with more than a pitiful 10 oz capacity. I'll try to post some that I've used. |

This is ugly as hell (it was a gift), but it's short and it worked well.

Fits snugly in the first cupholder, no chance of spillage with the sealed lid. You can turn the things upside down and not spill a drop. |

- Not tall - doesn't interfere with shifting. - Not tippy - if it's tall or top-heavy, it might not be stable in the cupholder. - Easy to drink from - I don't like "push-to-drink", or tiny drinking holes. It's easier if the coffee can pool in the lid. - Useable space - some mugs have a complex lid mechanism which takes-up the top 2" where you can't fill it all the way. Quote:
