Aussie 1 Prices

Hey everyone, considering a new 135i some time in the next 6-12 months. However, I'm a bit confused about pricing.

I've checked out the BMW website, but I'm not sure about the truth of the prices listed there.

Could anyone please let me know how much I'd be looking at for a fairly well-optioned 135i?

Thanks

EDIT: Sorry if the answer is somewhere else pretty obvious. I'm a bit mental like that.

Why are you disputing the truth of the prices? Do you think they are making them up

Suggest you visit a dealer and option your car. Haggle and get a price..

Nah, it's not that I think they're making them up, but I'm wondering if most dealers actually sell at the RRP, or if they try to boost sales by putting the price down a little, or if they rip us off by boosting the price right up.

Righto, I'll have to visit a dealer when I'm ready to buy. Thanks.

The prices on the website are the real RRP.... there's not a hell of a lot of discounting at the moment... but there is a little.

The website prices don't include the dealer delivery charges taxes... which are about as expensive as they come!

Brochure prices always sound cheaper cause they don't include stamp duty and registration. In Vic that alone adds about $4-5k. So you really should be doubting them unless this is your first new car.

Hey Tristan, where abouts in Queensland are you? I have had alot of deallings with the boys up at Coastline BMW on the Sunshine Coast. They always really look after me and are very competive on prices.

If you are looking on the bmw website they usually wont show on roads so you can add a bit to the quoted price.

Hope this helps , mate,

"Loaded", look to pay around 92k on road, before negotiations. And that's before KRudd's 8% Envy Levy.

That's for; metallic paint , s roof, pro nav, upgraded sound (middle), comfort access, front (& back) parking sensors...

i think that's it. :iono:

I ordered yesterday and paid $83,700 OTR for a manual with Comfort Access, Sunroof, Pro 10 Speaker stereo and heated seats.

Won't get it till February - doh

First dealer I went to told me that he would not discount at all, second dealer would only drop dealer delivery from $5000 to $3500 and last one gave me the price above and he got my cash

I brought my 1er a few years back and got a good deal.
The main thing to remember is the dealers to not have a monopoly, all BMW dealers are selling the same car give or take some options.
At the end of the day you can buy from which ever dealer gives you the best price and end of with the same car from the same factory.
If you are after the best price just ring around and don't think your local state only, use interstate dealers.
If you get a quote from another dealer but would like to still deal with one closer get the quote in writting and ask them to match.
Me, I used a broker who got me an exceptional price from a dealer in QLD and I ended up getting my local dealer in Vic to match the price.
Actually I did this both with the mini and 130 :-).
It's your money and the way the economy is going you will want to keep as much of it as possible LOL

Thanks! I cant wait to get it, was going to order an S3 until very recently but luckily decided to check out the 135 and fell in love with it...

I have a black car at the moment and its a pain due to swirls. I nearly ordered white but changed my mind at the last minute, I really wanted SGM

Forget $1695 - go for $1200 or so - it is achievable!

I think you'll find people are still struggling to get the sort of discounts you can normally easily obtain with the 135i. Dealers just aren't playing ball as they know demand is still solid and the troubling times will just harden them to make money where they can, whilst the get rid of the other cars taking longer to sell.

IMO troubled times mean the opposite to what you may be saying.
Troubled times means less money for the consumer and therefore less sales.
If you find cars on Unique cars and alike I don't think demand is out stripping supply.
Anyhow all I am saying is the car is the same where ever you buy it from so take no BS from the sales person and shop around.

Oh, but according to the sales manager I spoke to at Trivett, the BMW dealers don't "do deals" and don't compete with other BMW dealerships. You're meant to select your dealership based on the type of service and customer relationship you're looking for.

:bs:

Anyway, that's the nonsense I was fed when I asked them to put together their best package for me. In the end I just went with my local dealer (Dwyers in Wollongong), who came up with a damned good package anyway.

Something to watch out for ... if you work for a large company, you should be eligible for BMW's corporate program. This includes discounts on list price and dealer charge, free servicing and other goodies. Check it out before signing on the line.

Yes i agree with Guran, I got the corporate program with my purchase, however the dealer wont give more discount on top of that.. (but you can ask them to give u some cheap BMW performance parts) ..but it along did save about 4k on DD...+ all the other freebies u get... so if you dont know if your company's on their list... ask them!

2009 BMW 135i  [5.76]
I have just finished negotiating with my dealer.

They just would not budge on the price... They are a very big BMW dealer so they sell a lot... Their major argument was that they don't have many allocations for the 135i. Anything they get, will be sold for full price. They don't even have a 135i coupe demo...

I feel a bit crappy after hearing of these discounts people are getting. What cities do you live in?
