Will it just plug in the BMW optional alarm system?

Hi,
I have seen the optional BMW alarm system module selling.

Is it a simple plug and play for our 135i?

Thanks.

it depends on what year you have. I think 2008-2009 have all the wiring included so its plug and play. 2010 onwards do not.

You need to recode the car so it will use the alarm. The dealer can do that.

It is not a simple plug and play, there is a DIY step by step, on this forum somewhere. The dealer will have to program it.

Really easy install!! Iv don't it on all 4 bimmers.... Interior motion sensor takes 7 sec, hood sensor take another 30 sec, and for the siren.... Unfortunatly in our 1er this goes behind the driver side rear tire.... Tire needs to be removed, and wheel well cover.... Then there is an open compartment with a wire ... Takes Bout 5 min....

Total under 6 min!

For a great write up

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=210633

However if you have a March 09 or later - It's probably not prewired

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...58#post4356058

And you have to get the car coded at the dealer.

Really rocks on this board BTW
