Throttle modulation off idle in 2nd gear. With the cobb tune, it produced a lot more torque than when I had JB4, so it was easier to gradually add more throttle at the launch.

If I hammered the throttle 100%, it would just result in spin city.

Trap speed is healthy for a stock car. Your ET is a bit high, but it's all in your 60'. You can cut 2.0/2.1 on stock RFTs with practice. That'll put you around 13.2ish.

Tried to avoid tire fire off the line, so I gently rolled off the clutch, and onto the throttle, launch RPM was under 2000. That got me through the bottom half of 1st until I let 'em up all the way to redline. Shifted into second, spun pretty good. Car is definitely a back-half car. The 1/8th was solid for the mods, but not amazing, 8.4@89.

This was done at a private access road. Verified flat via VBOX, runs done both ways with similar results. Heatsoak was a big issue though. ET's pretty consistent, but trap speeds varied about 2-3mph as a result. It was obvious heatsoak, as all the lost trap speed noticed occurred in the 1/8th. Once the car gets past low speeds, it's alright.

So I went to the track tonight.....It was hard to hook up and put power down.

I finally was getting 2.0 60ft, but then it would either spin or wheel hop. Then when you try to shift to 2nd, it was hit or miss without having trouble getting it in.

Is it normal when you shift fast, the car actually dies or hesitates?

A teeny bit of hesitation is no biggie, combo of two factors with this car: the trans gets a bit fussy under hard shifting; and tuned, manual N5x cars often take a sec to get back into boost. However, it's generally only the least bit perceptible in the lower gears, where there is the largest gear spacing, and the most mechanical torque being applied. If you're feeling any sort of note worthy hesitation up top, or in the higher gears, car could be breaking up.
