Ordering this weekend, need help
Hey, guys. I'm planning on pulling the trigger on a 135i with DCT, Leather, iDrive, Premium, Comfort, and Sport. Is 42,5 a good deal for this? The only problem is running the car through the VIN decoder, it comes up as a 118d. Are there anomalies with this?
Anything else I should be on the lookout for? |

M-Sport?
Regular sport package has been dropped, as has value package: So leather isn't free anymore.. But between Comfort and Premium I'm sure it's included. 42.5 practically fully loaded sounds good to me: I agree though, I'd add on alarm AND HK sound system.. |

I'm not too worried about the sound system as I play in a symphony, and honestly enjoy the sound of the car when driving. So, yeah. Here's the car in question. Any other idea why the 118d would show up on the VIN decoder?

my vin didn't even register until the car was 3 months old... probably because it was an '11 that hit port in May of '10 but whatever.
$42.5 sounds good if it is in fact $500 under invoice (which looks to be close). Most dealers won't sell below that if even that close. |

I know about Dinan and their (sometimes) honored warranty, but is BMW friendly warranty wise to things like exhaust/etc. or should that be performed once it's out of warranty?

lesson #1 Dinan = Not BMW warranty. They provide their own warranty which won't cover you ass from BMW if something happens. If your engine blew up Dinan would be the ones replacing it, not BMW. I am not a big Dinan fan because I think they overprice the hell out of their stuff when its not that superior of a product. If you get close to your Service Adviser you might find they are cool with you modding stuff as long as it doesn't screw up the car. They want you to be happy so a lot of SA's will be cool with it but your best bet is to go into the regional forums on both 1addicts and also E90post (for the sheer numbers of posters) and ask for a recommendation on a mod friendly service department in your area. I've had 2 different SA's who have been fantastic about the modding, never any problems and always taking notice to the new fun stuff on the car... most of these guys are fans too ya know. Heck my 1st SA used to come out to our meets with us. |

I personally like the newer versionbut just like anything it's subjective. Personally I'm a human gps so I don't use the navi function much but it's nice to have in case. I like the stereo control from it more than anything which is why I got it. That being said though I could easily love my car just as much had it not been equipped with it.
Now on a 3series I think it's a must have cuz the dash just looks weird without it. |

totally agree however not AS much as in the higher level models (5's and 7's). They give you access to a lot more features in the system like climate controls and such.
