Detailer's Domain: Tesla Model S - Paint Correction - Opti Coat

A little delay in posting this Tesla up, yes there is some snow in the background. This Tesla came in needing some serious swirls and rid removal. Customer also requested Opti Coat. Due to the cold weather we had to use steam and Optimum No Rinse to prepare the car for compound and polishing.

Exterior
- Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes
- Tires were spritzed down with Adam’s All Purpose Cleaner and washed down
- Wheel wells were cleaned up
- Steamed Cleaned and Optimum No Rinse
- Decon with Auto Finesse Iron Out
- Door jambs were cleaned up
- Nano Scrub AutoScrub
- Dried
- Tires dressed
- Masking
- Paint Measurement
- Compound - Menzerna FG400
- Final Polish - Sonax Perfect Finish 4/6
- Last step - Opticoat
- Inspection with Fenix, Brinkmann, and natural sunlight
- Wheel wells were cleaned - polished - Opti Coat
- Rubber and Plastics Treated
- Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed
- Exhaust tips cleaned
- Windows were auto scrubed, cleaned, and sealed

Before - as you can see there was a ton of salt on this car when we received it some good cleaning and prep work was needed.












Prep - notice we used steam and ONR to clean up the paint. Decon/Clay, the and of course the normal wheel, wheel well, and tire cleaning.
























Compound and Polishing photos - please take a look at the before and after shots. Menzerna FG400 and Meg's MF Cutting Pad and finished up with Sonax Perfect Finish 4/6 with an Uber Orange Pad and various Rupes BigFoot Polishers.
