Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca

One lap around famous Laguna Seca raceway.
HPDE during BMWCCA Oktoberfest 2013 in Monterey.

First time ever on that track.
Turn 10 sloppiness aside, I'm pretty happy with that lap.

What did you use for the video & data overlay?

Thanks.

Karl.

Data comes from an AIM Solo DL:

Video overlay & gauges are made using DashWare:

How have you received your data for the AIM Solo DL?

I have found that by using the OBDII cable and setting the ECU Manufacturer to "OBDII" and the ECU model to "CAN", I can get engine data but not chassis data. The AIM web site states that "proprietary CAN protocols ONLY accessible through direct connection to CAN". That would presumably refer to the chassis data such as wheel speeds, brake pressures, steering angle, etc. Are you getting this data with whatever connection you have?

The AIM tech is telling me that on the 135i OBDII/CAN approach is the only one that works, although I am speculating it works with either a direct CAN connection as well as the OBDII connection I have tried.

I am actually more interested in the chassis data than the engine data, so I am trying to find a solution to this.
