Not having seen the 1 Series in person, yet, I could be wrong, but looks alone the G 37 is probably going to give the 135 a run for its money. Handling, interior, performance, that will be another matter.:roundel:

You should do a search for videos comparing the 335i vs. the G37. I've seen one recently so I'm sure they're out there. And I'm not talking about a street race video. Essentially, the 335i outperforms the G37 but barely wins the comparison. Price difference was a factor. The 135i should outperform the G37 by an even wider margin and be closer to it in price. I suspect the 135i will come out on top. Once you factor in the ability to dial up performance on the 135i the delta will get even larger.
At the risk of being flamed, I'll state unequivocally that the G37 will always look better than the 135i though. Scott p.s. I'd get the 135i... and I'm not in the market for either car. |

G37 is a very good looking car. I haven't seen it beat the BMW 335i in any road test thus far, but considering that it's a few thousand cheaper, it definitely leads in the "bang for buck" category. 135i is a bit different, it's closer to the G37 in price, and will outperform even the 335i. So the performance gap will be greater, the price gap will be smaller, so the question is whether the G37 really looks THAT much better than the 135i.

VS Curb Weight: BMW 135i : 3196 lb Infiniti G37 : 3616 lb Horsepower: BMW 135i : 300hp to the flywheel Infiniti G37 : 330hp to the flywheel Type: BMW 135i : Twin-turbo Infiniti G37: Naturally Aspirated Wins: I totally say that the BMW 135i still takes it, being one step up already with forced induction from the factory, all you would need is exhaust, intake, and a computer re-flash and would be sitting at close to the M5/M6 stock HP. |

I just order my 135 this week and I looked long and hard at the G37. It is a nice car and I like the look. The M6 coupe comes very loaded up for a descent price. The dealer in Vancouver had some great purchase insentives so the price was good(they offered to knock $7500 off MSRP instantly). If you wanted to lease I'm sure they had deals too. It drives nice and I had only two minor issues. It feels big and heavy (but it still handled very well) and the motor was a bit weak on torque compared to the BMW motor. Don't get me wrong it was a fast car, I just found the BMW had a bettter power spread. Go to youtube and search bmw 335 vs G37 and there are some good video comparisions.

The 135/335i are closer to 330 hp stock in reality. Its underrated at 300. Take a G37 6mt up against a 135i 6mt at the drag strip and there would be no comparison. The 135i would easily be a full second quicker (if not more).

G35 > G37
I had a G35 and drove the G37. I was highly dissapointed. Performance isn't a big step up, interior is just refined, front end is better but back end is way worse. The positive may be the handling, transmision improvements, and clutch. That's about it. The 335i > G37 easily, and in my mind the 135i > 335i so I think that should sum it up. |

No, but it is the BMW published Unladen Weight, minus the driverer and cargo weight. Unladen, minus those two items equals curb weight, by definition.
I hope it is just shy of 3200 on the scales... Edit.. That is unless you get leather versus ette, then all bets are off on the weight. |

thanks
yeah pretty much the g37 looks more luxurious i must admit, but its deff not going to outperform the 135i in any factor.
But i guess i will have to make the choice, lux over sportiness hmmmm |

135 for sure. The G37 to me looks very plain and uninspired in the design department. And if I don't like to look at my car day after day then I don't think I could ever get in and drive it and be happy.
