135i Exhaust Rubber Damper

Hi all

What is that black rubber thing in our factory exhaust which the performance exhaust do not have?

Does it serve any purpose?

you mean the vacuum flap actuator?

controls the vacuum flap if that's what you mean.

It is the one behind the vacuum flap actuator, it is a round big rubber piece about the size of a soft drink can.

That damper is removed from the OEM exhaust then is placed in the same place on the performance exhaust. Mines still attached.
