Update 3:

I got the car back, couldn't feel the difference with the car (no vibration, no rattle, no noise) except turbos spool are now much more noticeable + it is faster .
Exhaust smells different now but it's not bad at all *edited*.

I've given my mechanic and my feedback so it is your choice now to buy VRSF or AR.

Hopefully this is useful for you guys.

Good to hear

An employee of mine has just purchased a 335i. He asked me last week what catless DP's to buy. I was weary about recomending VRSF (did not know about their guarantee) and heard that there might have been a design change to the AR's that prevented RHD fitment which had me buggered as to why they would have done that.

It will be easier to recommend a set of DP's now..

Here's a review from one of our suppliers in the UK regarding RHD fitment for those that require some reassurance

I took the punt and ordered a set of VRSF down pipes. Got them for under $400 inc shipping to Melbourne. From ordering to receiving them took 2.5 weeks.

When I got tyres a fortnight ago from Tyrepower Hawthorn, they recommended Active Motorwerke in Clayton, as their head specialist "Jin", used to work for BMW & was renouned as being one of the best. They are a BMW & Mini specialist, doing servicing, mechanic repair, upgrades etc.

I got the VRSF DP's installed by Active Motorwerke today. I rang Steven to set up a time yesterday, and they managed to fit me in for today.

They fit RHD 135i's fine! A little more adjusting the rest of the exhaust etc, but when all bolted together, there was no issue with clearance.

In my opinion, for just under $400 fully shipped, the VRSF DP's are awesome value.

Anyone in Melbourne I strongly recommend Steven & Jin from Active Motorwerke in Clayton (www.activemotorwerke.com.au). The guys really knew their stuff & were fantastic to deal with - I'll be using them again that's for sure.

I was also informed by Tiago that VRSF are going to bring out a slightly modified version for the RHD market. I don't know when, or what's actually different, but I can say for certain that the current ones fit!!!!!

AR Design DP's = $895 inc Aus delivery inc GST from BMR
VRSF DP's = $400 including shipping

Both fit 135's!

UPDATE:

Steven sent me through some photos during the install:

I'll post an update on the sound, haven't really given it a good fang. I need to update my Cobb Map from Stage 1 to stage 2. Even at 100km/h, the exhaust is louder/throatier. The car appears to have more mid range torque.

cheers

if you could smell something in the cabin... it'd be an install issue wouldn't it?
