135i Dual Tip Exhaust on 120i Cabrio

Hi guys

Would one be able to retrofit a 135i exhaust on a 120i?

Mine looks like this at the moment:

I can get hold of a 135i exhaust.. want it to look like this:

Is it possible?

Or should I rather get a REMUS exhaust like this guy did --> http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=260037 ?

Thanks

If you are going to swap the exhaust, I would go aftermarket so you can get a sound and performance upgrade out of it. Remus is an excellent choice, we have had a lot of success with their exhausts. They are OE suppliers for AC Schnitzer, Brabus, Porsche and Mercedes and all exhausts are sound tested to avoid resonating in the cabin.

The problem you will encounter with aftermarket exhausts is the 135 N54 engine uses a different exhaust hookup than the 120 engine so you want to go for one that is designed for your car.

Hey there

still haven't done anything exhaust wise.

Just not feeling the look of the Remus exhaust to be honest..

Want it to be OEM BMW. Would I be able to fit that 135i exhaust on my 120i cabrio? Is there space in the bumper and couldn't I just weld the two parts of the 135i exhaust into one as mine is 4cylinder and 135i is 6 cylinder.. So we need some modification of course.

Hope the tips fit in my stock bumper without having to cut.
