Rear Diffuser
Has anyone painted their diffuser shadowline black to match their window trim? I got rear ended yesterday, and I'm thinking while they have the diffuser off I might as well paint it. Pictures if possible please!!

I think painting it gloss black would look great, thats the one thing I don't like about the M-sport rears, that unpainted grey plastic reminds me of the granny bumpers on early 90's chevy cavaliers.

Gravity Auto sells the Shadowline diffuser here: http://gravityauto.com/shdi.html
I have one (bought off a forum member) and it is great quality...matter of fact it is for sale as I got the Scopione one recently. I am in Iraq but I have a proxy that is trustworthy! PM me for details if you interested. |

I painted mine to match the shadow trim, I left the recessed part the matte black and it just set it off! looks really good IMO.

Carbon fiber wrap it :)
Why dont you try carbon fiber wrap? Something I am thinking about...I dont know about your area but there is a place here in Chicago that will do it. Dont know the cost yet.

I'm going to take mine to a paint shop.. I called that company via the link above twice and left messages.. no response.. I refuse to do business with people like that.

cut out the middle while you're at it. the rear axle of this car experiences significant lift at high speeds. a cutout should reduce the high pressure area under the rear.

That's a great idea about removing the little center section. Maybe replace it with a cool looking mesh material to allow air flow!
