Jet Black 135i Amateur Photo Shoot
I decided to take the ole' girl out tonight for a quick couple of photos. This will be the last shots of her before I plastidip the entire car in matte white. The paint on 'Black Betty' has been taking a beating down here in the dirty south so I figure a cool, cheap, temporary solution would be to dip her. Anyhow, here are the photos from tonight.

Ya sense ur goin Matte white. I have alpine white and love it. I see your at barks dale. I don't know if your job is with the b52sor not but I was stationed in Minot with them. Came down to barks dale for lots of FTDs. It's not the best place but I would have definately chosen it as apposed to Minot winters. Plus it was the only other place I could gon when we were shreadded. I was really lucky to get Spain. This will be my last assignment and I'm done though. High five AF bro.

Anyhow, my other BMW is an Alpine White 3 Series and I love it. We got a pretty amazing deal on the 1 series so I settled for the Jet black. Needless to say, I made it work. The paint on the car is so bad from years of sitting on a dealer lot and riddled with tiny chips from freeway driving in the south that a new paint job is required. I found out about plastidip and the cost, hooked me right in. Gonna try matte with for my first dip and possibly matte red next year. Thats whats so great about it, change your car color every year for around 200 bucks. Thanks for your service too brother.

Thanks bro. I'm excited to start but the stuff is on back order. Hopefully I'll have it done by mid march.

Oh I've been to fe warren before and I'd rather Minot than that place and that's sad to say cuz Minot wasn't much. But no we won't get started on fe warren or mount home for that matter. But what was wrong with aviano? i loved italy when i visited. However i do know the job can make you hate a place ir the people. Ya my buddy over here has a jet black 1 series an he complaines about it all the time. He said the paint is very soft so a lot of things get imbedded in the front bumper. He's constantly waxing and sealing it. I just didn't want a dark color simply because of the dust that shows up the next day after a wash or fingerprints an stuff. However I just waxed my car for the first time and it was a chore lit me tell you. I had to use a flashlight to make sure I got all the spots cuz most wax dries white lol.

Aviano was a beautiful place and it opened opportunities for me to travel most of the places I wanted to visit in Europe, however, the local people where extremely rude and hateful towards myself and my family. We were treated very poorly throughout Italy in our travels. There were a few diamonds in the rough that were gracious but it was rare. NSI fail in 2009 was no fun, changed the tone of the base from then out. Anyhow, Italy is a great place to visit as a tourist but I would never live there. Ireland is the shit though, I highly recommend a trip there. I wouldn't mind retiring close to Dublin.
Black cars really are a bish to take care of, but when are are taken proper care of, wow do they look good. White has been one of my favorites for BMW because it allows a clearer visual of the body lines. A car that good looking should be able to be admired from up close and at a distance.
