Where is the suggested place to store the power pack so it doesn't interfere with the adaptive headlight?

The letters you see on the package is in Japanese. Every time I see them reminds me of how easy it was to buy those bulbs in Japan. It is sold everywhere like in every gas station and in every car parts shop in Japan. But I have never see them in Europe.

I'd like to know this as well. I installed my LUX this afternoon but after driving around at night I got the adaptive headlight error. Basically the resistor/power supply box was inhibiting the movement of the adaptive headlight. When I stopped to look the headlight was pointing off center on the passenger side, but the driver side one was centered so I assume that one is not being obstructed. I will open them back up tomorrow during the day and relocate the resistor boxes, I'm sure it's just a matter of finding the right spot away from the adaptive light.

I use to have the Alpine 7K HID AEs on my 135i, and won't do anything like that again. Yes, they were bright, but the inner ring was vastly more so than the outter (due to the inherent design as mentioned). People thought I had my high beams on and would flash me regularly, too much IMO.

I just want a somewhat slightly more blue/white-ish bulb to blend better with the eyebrow. The stock one is just too yellow, why BMW did not update those in the LCI escapes me

Hey HKG-- did you have any luck getting thepower supply box positioned so that it does not interfear with the light operation?? If so, and you enlighten us ?

Tks

yup I created this diagram to help others see where to place the resistor/power supply box that comes with LUX angels eyes. I rested it along the bottom edge of the headlight cover, aligned as shown by the red box in the diagram. Then I tested extensively at night and had no adaptive headlight errors and saw the adaptive headlights moving in both directions freely.

I had the LUX installed this weekend, it looks so much better. I didn't expect the difference to be so big, pictures surely not do the LUX justice. The difference, also in daylight is immense.

Thought I would add my two cents worth as well...

Here are a couple of photos of my 2010 128i in the daylight with the LUX H8 V3 on the passenger side and the OEM on the driver's side (1st picture). There is no question that the LUX is worth every penny if you are looking for an LED light that resembles that of the 2012 3 Series coupe or 5 Series. Second picture with LUX installed in both headlights.

Cheers,
Ross

Hello. I'm reviving this thread as questions continue to arise on placement. I just installed mine and took some pics to help others. Note, the first pic shows the o-ring squished out when the bulb was locked in place. To correct this, I applied some dielectric grease to the o-ring. Also, the placement of the box in the passenger side is very similar to the drivers side (pictured). The only different is the plastic post will be above the ballast instead of below.

I drove to work this morning and the lux appears to be working fine.....so far. One thing I forgot to mention was the black wire pin wasnt secured well in the connector, so I made it a point to ensure the pin didn't back out when I plugged the two connectors together. The red wire pin on both bulbs were locked in, but not the black. If not careful, the black pin could back out of the backside of the connector.

Fixed. The pics on alekshop's site are the best depiction of the difference I have seen.
From alekshop.com:

I wish they were a better match colorwise, but other aspects of their "performance," if you will, make up for it. Brightness being one of them.

Also, as a follow up to mikewills' post above, I think both wires going to the connector are suspect. On one of my connectors, the red wire was backing out, causing the led to flicker until I figured out what was happening.
