warranty work with dp in
Just wanted to give a little input. I pulled other mods and took off my Cobb tune and went in to get my blown charge pipe fixed under warranty. Got it fixed with no questions. And when my rep gave me my keys he said the techs were impressed with the work I had done to my car. Keep in mind my car was 100% stock besides the dp.

I think a lot of dealers don't care. Mine doesn't

Mine does. Not to the point of refusing service but the manager there seems to look down his nose if one is not being a 'responsible BMW owner' if one is not using the car as the engineers who designed it intended. In many ways I agree with him and think that a lot of folks mod their cars without understanding that there may be a trade off are asking for trouble.
I think that ramping up one's HP to the 400 HP range and then expecting your dealer to replace brakes at 10K intervals is a bit of a folly and would side with the dealer on not being 'mod-friendly' for this somewhat expensive repair. Not wanting to realign the air intake hose that kept slipping off because I'd put 'aftermarket wiring' under the hood (in a nearby but disconnected area) and supposedly knocked it loose? I think that's a weak stretch for a labor only 5 minute job. He apparently had a dim view of my not buying the perf shifter knob (~$100) when they put in the SSK, and then purchasing one for $38 and installing it myself. But... and this is a big but... at what turned out to be my 'last visit before the maintenance plan expires' he also replaced my brake pads and front rotors under warranty/maintenance WAY before the service indicator had expired (7K front, 11K rears), changed my oil/filter with 4K left, replaced my rear bumper for a defect I did not even know about, covered the cosmetic repairs to my front seat and gave me a free $130 clip-in cup holder after replacing the entire center console (peeling paint at the inline cup holder like on the steering wheel trim) with one that had the cup holder slot already installed. I commute so I use it all the time. So no complaints here whatsoever about my SA and service department; I'm not one to do serious mods anyway (I have a 128 so...) so I'm down with the trade-off.

sorry to jack thread... Mine didn't come with a cupholder and I thought if you didn't have a slot thats why. They make one for slotless consoles?
