Sorry guys, a dumb newb question. Why doesn't the 135i coupe come in DCT? lest it cannibalises 335i sales further?

It does......now. When it had the N54 engine, it was only auto or manual. Since the N55 came into play, the DCT has been an option.

Donald,
Quite a few forum members here have 135i with DCT, but your new vehicle won't come with DCT because it is an enthusiasts car (and possibly because it will cannabilise into the M3 market).

Thanks guys for your feed. Was just wondering why this thread was about launching an 'auto' 135i. Seems like a waste to not have dual clutch technology on a great car. Now understood

Love that t-shirt btw. LOL.
I am going to give this a try today.

Its the other way round aint it? One press removes traction control to the rears. Holding it down for 5 secs removes stability control???

That is my understanding, too.

One press limits traction control meaning fun!

Full press = stability off = death.

I've never tried this because I like my transmission IN the car, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't let you...

You're all doing it wrong. Once you get onto the track, you're meant to slam it into R for race.

I tried this aswell. Seemed bit better than the previous method.

I might download 2up and test the results. And then again with new tyres.

I tried to launch it off the line in second at the track with no luck. My tank managed a 1.96 60' by feathering the throttle off the line and reducing boost to a max of 12psi in 1st.
