I had the cf one for a while untill it was broken off by people helping me get out of snow. I now have it sitting in my office, too lazy to put it back on.

I really enjoy the naked look, approaches a csl style imo. I will get you a pic later.

I am not a fan of carbon fiber as a decorative item, or used for style. I can see its advantages in a car used primarily for racing, due to its strength per unit weight being quite high.

I therefore am keeping carbon fiber items off of my car. Another reason is expense. I could buy other items for my car with the money used for carbon fiber trim/panels/spoilers etc. Carbon fiber has spawned fake carbon fiber, like carbon fiber adhesive shelf paper (thats what I call it), even more unattractive IMO. I guess the carbon fiber roof on the M3, is functional, keeping weight down, but I am not a fan of its appearance.

Go with CF if you are going to have that theme on the car, otherwise stick with the lip look.

The car has a high roof line as it is...taking the lip off only accentuates this making it look more awkward IMHO

Carbon fiber works if it is meant to reduce significant weight rather than be mostly decorative, i.e., M's CF roof.
