Tried to pinpoint an incessant, annoying rattle that turned out to be the dreaded downpipe/subframe problem. I tried to re-adjust the downpipes multiple times to no avail so I ended up modifying the heat shield a little bit. I also wrapped the area of the downpipe that was rubbing with some exhaust wrap I had laying around.

Afterwards, I did the natural thing and went to the track . Kinda disappointed in my times... 60ft could be better with track tires though. Pro-tune coming soon!!

Nice car i have a n54 m1 mods are frontmount intercooler. Chargepipe axleback exhast cobb tuned best has been 12.4 at 113. And my 60ft sucks even with slicks

Thanks! What's your usual 60ft times? Manuals are quite a bit harder to launch than autos, you still laid down really good times too. I started running NT555Rs and immediately improved my 60ft times.

Was supposed to install my PI kit recently... Ended up taking a four-state trip with good friends and having some fun in the Tail of the Dragon in Deals Gap, NC instead!

Running around with a bolt-on Focus ST and a bolt-on S197. The FoST owner also has an LSx C10 sitting in his garage. Simply put, the Tail is not the proper venue for his other baby lol.

There was a slight rub with the inner liner on the driver's side at full compression, disappeared very quickly.

Thanks! Might consider adding some suspension mods if I end up taking canyon/mountain runs more frequently. Fun driver as she sits though so I can't really complain haha.

If anybody's looking at port injection, the MOTIV kits are very high quality and can be shipped pre-assembled along with a plug-and-play controller.

Everything went in real smooth, a little tight in some areas though. Good thing these intakes are quite a bit easier to manipulate compared to the stock ones.

The Split Second controller fits well in an empty slot right in the middle.

Most folks not familiar with N54s probably won't be able to spot the kit easily.

Added to the first post

Totally forgot to update this thread...

It felt like it was time to move on so I partially de-modded and sold the 135i. Here's how she looked prior to being sold...

The replacement...

Bought a bone stock 2007 Corvette with the z51 package and promptly worked with Spartan LSX on my new daily (the fianc้ has taken my beloved 2004 Mazda6 wagon lol). It sounds nasty and pulls like a freight train, yet still docile around town. Oddly enough, the Vette is tons more fun than my previous 135i even though it's significantly less powerful.

Spartan LSX's owner and chief engine builder, Josh, did an amazing job on the build. He spec'd everything himself, built it, then tuned it. Fo those interested... the Vette has AI 243 heads, custom spec Cam Motion cam, FAST 92 intake manifold, VaraRam intake, TSP headers, TSP x-pipe, and a C6 Z06 Borla Stinger axleback.

Congrats on the vette man I've always been a fan. I'll probably end up in a C7 in the future but I have to wait till I have a second daily since there's no back seat and my dog needs a place to ride

Thanks! Been a fan for a while as well, had a bolt-on C5 years ago lol. Can't go wrong with a C7, the interior and tech are leaps and bounds better than what can be found in C6s.

I'd likely be in a C5 now if they had SOME kind of rear seat lol.
