That's no problem. Weekends are best. PM. I'll see if we can get a mini meet as the unit that is closer to the actual prdouction is one someone elses car(also in MA.), but are 135i enthusiasts and always looking to get together...plus we need to get some extended sound clips anyway.

gtaday51 - it won't be an option. The two exits out of the exhaust are larger than stock, also we just had to draw a line on what the tip options would be. There are so many different directions one could go. That said, the CF tips look so damn good in person. Personally I think they would compliment the CF rear diffuser and finish off the CF look back there.

Any updates on the new sound clips? I would love to put my name on that list but I need hear the exhaust without all the wind noise to do so.

We're looking to get the "final" production unit done within the week. This is the unit being tuned a hint louder and will have the rubber vibration damper. I'm just as axious as everyone to get better quality clips posted....as well as final pricing for the mid-pipe for catback setups. I'll have that pricing available tomorrow for everyone.

We're still in a holding pattern on updated sound clips. The schedule for a test car getting back into the garage for the final unit was pushed out to sometime later this week.

We did just get the catback pricing some folks wanted to know about. The mid-pipe will also be sold separately. The pipe is being done when our test car gets back in the shop so no photos of the pipe yet but I've had quite a few PMs regarding pricing so here you go:

Catless-Midpipe No resonators Pre-Order: $499 or $466 if we hit the 2nd level price discount. The regular price will be $549

Catless-Midpipe w/two Resonators(designed to look like the factory cats): $609 or 568 if we hit the 2nd level price discount.

So catbacks look like this:
$1198 or $1115(2nd level discount) No resonators
$1308 or $1217(2nd level discount) w/resonators

I'll update the thread as soon as we get the final unit done along with clips.

Thanks for the update. I am hoping there will be separate clips for just the axle-back as well as the cat-back?

Any update on sound clip. The sound clips in the original post had too much noise.

The weather in MA. hasn't been very favorable.

However I do want to make it clear that the sound samples currently listed are all from the same sample unit..the one that was approved for production. It started off on my car for the past couple of months. This past weekend we took it off and installed it on another car and tested it in catback form(without resonstors), but not before grabbing one last clips(as used in the youtube video) and we then fitted the newer/quieter axleback(with the CF tips) on my car. It was just too quiet. Better sound character than stock but quiter than stock. If there is anyone out there that is totally catless and needs a very special axleback to quiet things down let me know. I have the perfect one-off axleback for you with carbon fiber tips

R.
I actually wouldn't mind the quiet one, since i'm planning to go cattless from the turbo back. Any special pricing on a used system?

The final version(sound wise) of the axleback was finished this afternoon. It's new owner happens to be a photographer so I'm sure we'll end up with some nice pics on his car. I'll be pinging him shortly, and we should have some sound clips and real world opinion from someone other man me

...and final note. We've also decided to send some of the stainless steel tips to the ceramic coater for those that would prefer that type of look. I'll update the website to reflect the ceramic coated tip option.

There wasn't time today to finish up the intermediate pipe. They hopefully be getting that done sometime next week.

xXxMLEExXx - when I'm done with the unit on my car I'll PM you. I'll be swapping it out within a month for one of the final production units that's a littler louder.

That was my issue. I wanted the black tips for that OEM style look. Are the tips rolled? That fact would sell me on the tips.

Guys,

Still waiting to get updated clips. Mike who has this production unit didn't get a good opportunity to grab clips right away. He did grab some installed pics which I've supplied below. I'm going to try and get another finished production unit to my door as soon as I can. I know good clips will sell exhausts. For the moment we'll need to continue with the clips we have and Mike's first customer comments(taken from an email he recently sent) "The exhaust is great...I have some events coming up that I will for sure be taling all about this.....as far as pitch and drone, it sounds great and I don't hear any drone inside the car."

Mike(ballamike on the forum) isn't on the forum that often but some of you will recognize the car and the name in photos. He's posted sore really nice pics in the past that many of you will be familiar with and I'm sure he'll chime in here shortly.

There have been a couple more orders placed. I've been behind on all of my forums and emails the past couple of days due to many factors. I'll update the pre-order list shortly.

R.

Thanks for the update.

I am going to hold off getting on the list until I hear the better clips. BTW, was there an answer to my question above?
