Nav Screen
My nav screen is virtually unreadable except under ideal light conditions. I have the brightness all the way up. Is there some other adjustment I'm not aware of, or will this require a dealer trip? Also the nav gives some really silly directions. Granted, only had the 1 a little over week, but have had other nav systems that seem better.

I'm not sure about the brightness issue -- mine has always been fine. As far as odd directions, if you have the route options set to "shortest route", it can take some odd routes to find the shortest distance.

If you've been on this board for a while, you've no doubt heard me rag on the nav in this car. It is T-H-E A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E W-O-R-S-T. I complained to my SA, and he told me that there was a comparison of 26 sat-navs, and this one came in 26th. Shame on BMW - spend another $10, and get a decent system.
