Drag Racing DCt 135i with PS2 Turbo

Now that there is more support for the N55 platform and we are seeing more and more Ps2 turbo upgrades, I feel this should be updated with more current information

My search showed 4--5 year old posts on stock turbo and JB4 using the oem LC on their DCTs.

Im going to the track in 2 weeks and id like to get the most out of it

Should I just use the oem LC and just 'ezmode' it? After I get that 1 second delay out of the way that is

Mods in sig.

I'm Pure stage 2, tuned by Wedge, running 265 RS3's. Stock launch control is worthless for me right now. People on n54tech have been talking about a different method to use.

Turn traction all the way off (long press of the DTC button), hold brake, tap gas pedal repeatedly to the kickdown, and rpms should climb. I have not tested this yet, but it seems to working for some folks. If I could launch at 2 or 2.5k rpms I believe I would actually be able to get off the line.

I think pressing the gas to the kickdown with brake down and DSC off will enable the LC, but you have to hold it down to do that

So just stomp a bunch and time it right ?

Yeah just tried the holding the brake down and pumping the gas, it only goes up to like maybe 1.8k then as I floor it ill go nearly sideways lol

Maybe I should feather the throttle (linear throttle ftw) and gradually go down through first gear, then give it all the gas in 2nd..

Was hoping for a easy mode... I want 11s...

You need the 135is DCT tune, lowers launch control to 3500 instead of 4500 or whatever its at from the factory.

Joe@TopGearSolutions can do it for you.

Have your custom tune use load by gear. Super easy to do.

MHD can do that for the N55?

and I think Wedge made some changes to where LC is now going to kick in at 3500 instead, Ill try it when the rain stops

My Car is PS2 Stage one tune 93 tune...I can't get MHD yet.

Devised a LC where I get a 1.8x a few times which will set you up for 11's with a good mph at the end.

Use LC but when revving ....back off kickdown and as revs fall below 3000rpm then let go of brake.... make sure u do burnout prior to get heat into tyres which make it sticky on launch..

I used stock RFT and non RFT and both at 1.8 60ft
