Confirming this steering wheel fits.

Hey guys and ladies. Super new here after getting an N55 135 DCT with 50,000 miles. Id like to freshen up interior. Can anyone please confirm this wheel is plug and play? I've got DCT and Multifunction.

Will fit! I have the exact same steering wheel. Depending on where you order it from they will ask for your VIN to confirm it will work.

I am not 100% on this but I think if you have a non sport steering wheel, the airbag would not fit in this performance steering wheel.

Yes that's true. You gotta have an M-Sport bag to swap over.

Well it sounds like I'm gonna do this until I can afford joining the ranks of the electronic Performance Wheel. Thanks for the assist.

Not true, the M-Sport wheel comes with the M-Sport Package (09' +), or Sport Package (08).

So just want to confirm something.

I've read a couple threads and have got differing opinions.

I have this wheel. It looks like it has the same airbag as the M-Sport wheel.

Will it fit?

It should fit. I would be worried about your shifter paddles since they are not DCT. They may not line up correctly/properly.

| do have a DCT. The photo is just a stock photo. It looks like my wheel. Did not notice if my paddles were different. Will take a look at my car next time I jump in to it.

I'm 99% sure they didn't sell 135i's in the United States without a sport package.

Most dealerships opted for the sport package. There are some 135i's out there that don't have the package. It's not standard, it's an option. Best way to check is to decode your VIN.

This is correct. Can't tell you how many non-sport/msport 135is I had to sift through to find my car when I was buying. Every damn one it felt like.

I've been a dealership tech for 6+ years, and I've never seen one or even heard of one.

All E8x and E9x vehicles use the same steering wheel shaft and wiring harness connections. You may need to update your trim, buttons, and airbag though
