We no longer offer coated exhaust. This was only on 5 sets. If you want your exhaust coated we can help you set it up with the proper coating!

Well I got my exhaust today and a pleasant surprise:

I had waffled on getting the black tips and finally told Anthony that I didn't want them. I was under the impression they were using the same coating as the downpipes and didn't like the look for the tips. Was I wrong. Either Riss changed the process and they decided to surprise me, or Anthony referenced an earlier message from me and thought I wanted black. Whatever, it worked out and I like what they've done. Not as good as the black chrome on the stock exhaust, but still a nice looking tip.

Wow, that coating looks a heck of a lot better than how mine came. Hmm, wonder what it would cost to get mine re-coated.

BTW, is it just me or is that RR plate on the wrong side of the muffler? Wouldn't it be facing the car instead of the ground when mounted?

Yes it will be facing the car. I'm sure that's ok, I don't spend a lot of time airborne, or on two wheels, or driving over mirrors.

We swapped the badge on the top of the muffler because we didn't want anybody at BMW seeing the RR badge then looking into your car for mods further

Glad you like it Keith! I remembered the old PM that you wanted coated with a gloss similar too OEM.

Well I look forward to perhaps one day seeing it on my car, not that I still have any idea when I'll get the downpipes so that I can schedule an installation.

I was under the impression they were using the same coating as the downpipes and didn't like the look for the tips. Was I wrong. Either Riss changed the process and they decided to surprise me, or Anthony referenced an earlier message from me and thought I wanted black. Whatever, it worked out and I like what they've done.
