From Germany to the left coast, your looking at about a month. A painfully creepingly slow month, the month that stretches, it shall bore in your brain as the longest month of which you have ever endured. Some say time flies...

BTW, what boat are you on?

+1. The ship stops at many ports along the way plus it has to traverse the panama canal. Just the canal takes a full day. It's at least a month depending on port traffic, weather, etc.

And then you've got the unload, customs and processing time. These ships can carry up to 1,500 cars and so it can take quite a bit of time to unload and process them. Sometimes you are lucky and your car gets through right away and sometimes it takes a little longer. Supposedly they do load the sold cars in such a way that they are offloaded first, but you never know.

Post build, my hot rod was parked in the BMW queue/lot waiting to ship for over three weeks, followed by a four week trip to Oxnard. Oddly, stripping the thing of cosmoline, transporting to Oregon, dealer prep was but four more days. Once the car is in country, BMW gets it to you sehr schnell.
