Apple Carplay Retrofit Kit for sale. Originally purchased from CodeMyBimmer.ca but product seems to have been discontinued. Sold my 1 series so here it is listed for sale. Any interest should include your VIN and location for a shipping price.

As a general rule, 2009+ year vehicles, E chassis only, and equipped with CIC Navi. This will work for 335i, 135i, and etc with those specifications.

Carplay kit is a simple to install retrofit that will make your iDrive screen and controller infinitely more useful than it is to you right now and it is completely plug and play. 100% reversible, I was able to uninstall the kit from my vehicle in less than 30 minutes. Before I got the kit, I only used iDrive to check my oil level. The addition of this kit means that you can switch between iDrive and Carplay with just a three second hold of the menu button. Carplay allows you to use your iPhone to listen to Spotify, Apple Music, Podcasts, use Apple Maps for fullscreen navigation, and use siri to listen to and respond to texts and calls. This will also allow for the use of steering wheel controls for various functions as well! The retrofit does communicate with your phone via USB only.

PM'D pdf of instructions and what the kit looks like. There are also some chinese youtube videos that give a good idea of what is required. Not too bad.

Does this have the ability to port the JB4 app onto the screen or only whats shown in the pics? Can you take calls through the system if your car is quipped with the Nav mic?

CarPlay only, no mirroring. You can take calls and use Siri through the microphone you place in the cabin included with the kit.
