My 130i

Hi all, I've been lurking on these forums for a little while, always finding inspiration and ideas from others posts (in particular, walkie86's thread!).

Thought I'd actually join up and post my car, which I've owned for a little over a year now. It is a 2007 130i M Sport in titanium silver, which I've slowly grown more and more fond of. Having owned an R56 JCW Mini before this, the 130i had a lot to live up to in terms of handling and fun factor! Me and family just got back from 3 days in Hunter Valley, and it's roads like you find there that the car really shines, fast flowing country roads. The engine is just glorious, and the stock suspension is comfortable and compliant enough to enjoy.

The previous owner had the resonator removed, which I couldn't live with as for me the car is a daily driver, it was just too loud and drone at highway speeds was horrible. So that was the first order of business, I had a new res installed. Tyres are Kumho Ecsta, which are surprisingly pretty good, although the rears don't have too long to go then I'll most likely switch to Michelin Pilots.

Here's my extremely short mods list so far:

BMS clutch stop (subtle but noticable improvement)
ZHP Shift knob (just a week ago, much prefer it over stock)
Black grill
Thule roof racks (I'm a mountain biker)
Baby seat

Upcoming:

Upgraded Hifi rear shelf speakers (I have these ready to install)
New intake filter (Looking at BMC)

Want:

M3 front lower control arms

Nice ride. I wish they would bring the 1 hatch to the US. Instead we get the X1 :-/ lol.

I think there's even potentially a Sydney drive on Sep 17 on the BMW 1 Series Aus group.
