Carbon Fiber Interior Trim

wanted to replace the wooden trim and didn't want to spend the money for silver or carbon fiber so I decided to buy some vinyl wrap from a local wholesaler and attempt it on my own. Here's how it turned out! Cost less than $100 including buying tools and still have enough left over to do my mirrors and then some.

If you use a little trim removal tool or wedge you can try it off, it's just held in my clips. The corner of the piece under the edge of the iDrive wheel is a little bit harder to get out but can still be done by wiggling it out. Also you could pry the iDrive wheel part of the console up slightly to give you better access.

Edit: Or are you talking about the carbon strip on the knob itself?

I just took the know out of the car, wrapped over the trim, cut the vinyl so and leave a couple millimeters extra and heat and mold it into the crevice. Then I just cut and cleaned up but I'm not sure how to take that piece off

I need to do the same to get rid of the woodgrain...which looks cheap IMO.
