Wiper Blades

Bad rain day in Melbourne today and more on the way..makes me think of new wiper blades as still on the OEM's 3 yrs old.. Our E46 has the frameless one piece blades fitted by the dealer and these work great..

Any suggestion for the 1er..

Farr 3 years old?! Get rid of them!

You can get bosch aero blades but I would just get OEM ones.

Give welch auto parts a try: 80 Johnston Street Collingwood VIC 3066
(03) 9415 8787

Their prices are better than imparts and sometimes have the genuine's in stock

I use the Bosch Aerotwin.

From memory they are the AM500U (aka AM20U).

I don't feel as bad about the Supercheap prices now......

I think BMTech offered to replace them for $56 during my last service, can't remember if that was for 1 or 2 though.

Got a pair from Mornington BMW at $75.

That's a good deal.

Anyone got a source for parts and consumables in Sydney? I'm after one that doesn't require me to put my first born male up as a deposit?

I'd love to get stuff locally, and keep the $ here, as opposed to sending it to the US, UK or Europe just because of price.

I paid around USD $15 for OEM blades from ECS Tuning. They are currently in transit.

In Melbourne, Harold is very good. Got some just last week. You can pick up from Greensborough and save postage

Hmm looks like I might go the OEM route via Mornington, only $20 in it. Unless the Bosch is actually superior?

That's steep. I ordered a few things from ECS so the shipping was combined.

I don't know if it was a bug or what on ECS.

but, I bought some injectors, 2 oil filter kits and then added a cabin filter to see how much I'd get screwed for postage as it's a pretty big item. I added it and the postage jumped up about $50 or so and I freaked. Then I added some windscreen wiper kits and the postage dropped by about $35. So I added 2 more sets along with 2 more oil filter kits without it going up again.
