Black exhaust tips on a PE

I have a BMW PE exhaust on my 135i and wondered where i could get black exhaust tips that would fit without any trimming or shaving of the PE tips. I believe the PE vis a 3" pipe.

Thanks

The PE tips are welded on. Going to have to paint them I guess.

The stock 135i tips fit over the PE ones perfectly but they will probably stick out a bit far if you don't slice and angle into the existing tips to match...

Plastidip them black...I did my PE Exhaust two years ago and it looks perfect. The heat doesn't affect the dip. $5

Did you spray or paint on?

Awesome! Did not think it would last. I prefer the black tips from my original exhaust. Will pick some up on the way home and give it a shot.

I would think spray on would give a smoother finish. Would be hard to dip the back end of the car.

If you ever plan on changing to a BMW performance/Icarbon style diffuser, keep the tips as they are, and especially don't cut them. The squared off tips look so much better with a performance diffuser, and since the diffuser wraps around the tips, the chrome picks up the color of the diffuser and look black in most light.

OK, so, to answer your question. Yes, the black tips will fit over the PE tips. I JUST installed them on my own car. I also did not like how the PE tips stick way the hell out compared to the stock tips. So, I cut 3.0 cm off the PE tips at the top, and angled that cut to the bottom to match the black tips. Ended up being a cut that starts at 3.0 cm off at the top to 6.0 cm off at the bottom.

Used a mallet to tap the black tips on, which will also bend the tabs on the inside of the tips all to hell.

Came out exactly as I wanted, looks pretty much stock and nearly flush with the bumper again.
