Canada: was blackline taillights an option for us?

i've been seeing that blackline was an option for some people, is this true? and was it available for us? where can we get them and how much?

not an option here in NY and NJ...
I had to order mine all the way from pacific BMW in LA...
So maybe somestates have them to sell, but it's not an option for BMW NA yet...

They are available from pacific BMW for $260, I think. The issue is that they aren't legal technically. They dont have amber in them, and the E90 doesn't have reflectors on the back bumper like the E46. DOT hasn't approved them. However, I doubt that a cop will give you a fix it ticket, if they even know that is.

I enquired with the parts department at my dealership, The BMW Store, here in Vancouver.

They are available as a special order. I can't recall how long they take to get here though I do remember they were coming from Germany and that they seemed to be getting here pretty quick. I am guessing that any Canadian dealer would be able to order them.

If you have any problems I can talk to the service department at my dealer and get you parts numbers etc.
