Extended N 54 Warranty
I have read elsewhere that the HPFP warranty on 2009 models has been extended to 10 years/100K miles like the 2007 and 2008 models. Is this for real?

You should have received a notice in the mail for this if yours is extended. If you didn't, try calling BMW NA.

Just got an e-mail from BMW customer service confirming that the High Pressure Injection Pump on my 135 has indeed been extended to 10 years/120K miles. I am pleased and will now have no problems keeping the car beyond 4 years/50K miles.

I just called BMW Customer Service and my wifes 09 135 will be covered for the HPFP. Seldom keep a car longer than 4 years but nice to know. Outside of the Dash Indentation, the window that goes down on its own, and a Nav system that shows a gas station im my back yard and those great Summer RFT's, it is perfect. Guess we could have a Toyota!

If you are ever in the neighborhood, stop by and we will fill it up, check the oil (on the Dash), and clean your windshield!
15 MPG? Do you stay in 1st gear? |

That explains it. Let me ask since you also have Navigation. Is your Nav accurate as far as telling you your location, such as what town you are in? Mine seems to be off by one town. Also, do you suffer from the driver side front window going down on its own?
There is no nav update as of yet, and the window porblem is really still unresolved as far as any bulletins. |

I am at the 1 year service, but I was hoping that the new Nav software update is available. The SA told me on the phone that they are seeing the same problems on all models with the new type Nav that has the hard drive and not the old style CD. Mine is also spot on for location...I guess I wodred it wrong. It will show the exact location of the car by street intersection, but instead of showingthe city Barrington if I am in the town of Barrington, it will say I am in the town of Hoffman Estates, or say that I am in Kildeer rather than Palatine, or that I am in Schaumberg rather than in Mt. Prospect. Nothing they can do on that.
Also have a Garmin for rental cars, and it really is accurate and easy to use. Have the 765 Nuvi model with traffic alerts. |

Mine is the newer hard-drive based iDrive as well (Jan '09 build). But I haven't seen the problems you're seeing. Have you tried another dealership? It shouldn't matter, but sometimes it does.
