Recaro Profi SPG XL in 1M ?

Hey guys

I'm planning on swapping my BMW Performance seats for Recaro SPG XL.

But, I'm 1,85m tall (6'07) and don't want my helmet to touch the roof.

My dealer says Recaro has no sliders/moutings for 1M, and if we go Machtschnell mounts + recaro slidders, the seat would fit too high.

Anybody knows of to ?


I saw Advevo topic where he fits the lateral moutings to the car directly... Opinions ?

The sliders will raise the seat up. They are around 3/4 an inch thick.

Depends on waist size. SPG are good for 34" and lower

Your bmw performance seats are specific for 1m with orange stitches ? Pm me if you want to sell them

They're normal, with gray stitches. You can use a color pen if you wanna change. Price is 3000CHF for the pair.

I wear 36" jeans, I need to test pole position, spg and XL to get the idea. But I think in a 1M, the XL is too big, and I will touch the roof with helmet.
Any feedback from XL users ?

Little update:

I bought Recaro Pole Position leather / alcantara and I do fit in them.

The ass fits fine, the shoulders are at the limit, but I'm into fitness a bit, so a bit wider than normal.

As an idea, I'm 1m85 tall (6ft1") and weight around 220lbs.

My passenger seat has nos slider, and my driver has it all.

Weight difference, and handle VS OEM is no comparison, I love the car that way !
