Will the engine overheat on the track

Biggest concern about M coupe engine is overheating.

Will it suffer the same fate as 335?

Evey single 335 on the track goes in limp mode in about 20 minutes of hard driving.
Expensive aftermarket coolers improve the situation but void the warranty.

Hopefully BMW fixed that.

Would be a deciding factor for me over an M3

I don't think the M division would allow this, I am sure they corrected the problem and extensively tested the vehicle.

I would think that the issue has been resolved as a few members have tracked their cars and did not mention about overheating
