Here's one thing I found out about heavy duty, rubber mats, they can actually ruin the finish on the back of the heel on an expensive leather shoe (right foot). Because of that I now leave a pair of shoes in the car just for driving. You want a good feel for the road anyway.

Holy moly.. They are CHEAP CRAP!! Ugly, don't match the interior color. Just terrible!!

I got Taupe Boston Leather and the mats are too dark.

What are folks considering? Rubber BMW? Aftermarket?

Help!!!

Today, I picked up my 135i (sparkling graphite with taupe boston leather). The mats I was given are grey and they look lousy with the taupe carpeting. Have others had this problem?

Ditto on the cocomats. The driver's mat on the last set I had was still going strong after 5 1/2 years, even in a nasty winter environment. The passenger side mat still looked new. I'm waiting for delivery of a new set for our 135. Well worth the investment.

Get the 1 series mats. They're inexpensive, fits perfectly and looks great. Plus they don't move because of the velcro on the bottom.

The cocomats we ordered for our 135 were delivered yesterday. These are quite a bit more substantial than the factory mats and are extremely durable. We've had a set in our last 2 cars and they wear like iron even in a location that has a long nasty winter. When they get dirty I just hose them down and then scrub with a brush and a little soap and they look like new again.

For some reason I can't post any pictures, but here's a link to a few pics showing them installed (click on the thumbnails for a larger image).

These may not appeal to everyone, but we've been quite happy with them.

I don't like rubber, I had one on an A4 that feels like carpet but the buttom is rubber, so water doesn't go thru. It also has side wall to prevent water going out. Does anyone know something like that?

Here's the one bad thing about doing European Delivery - they give you free mats with no BMW logo and no heel pad. I was hoping to get the BMW mats for free from the dealer.

Another vote for Cocomats- they look awesome, wear extremely well, and come in a variety of colors. They are custom made for your car. I have had them in two other cars, and just got the ones for my incoming 128i. I am getting the black 'ette interior, so ordered the black/red Cocomats to jazz it up a little. Cocomats are expensive, but they are the best for a classic look.

Here's one for you guys - I ordered some berber matts that came with free stitching (8 characters ) that would run along the outer edge. I thought cool and requested "BMW 135i". They won't make them because they do not have BMW permission. Nor "135i" nor "1 series".

Got any suggestions for I have no interest to put my initials on the matts.

update I still have the rubber matts from the OP and thru the winter and summer the functionality have been amazing and very easy to keep clean. My interior rugs look impeccable considering all my activity's. The OEM matts are still in perfect condition in the trunk.

I love the OEM BMW rubber mats. Makes the interior look sportier, IMO.
