** VS-XX wheel repair photos
A week ago or so, I gave my right front wheel a curb rash as I backed out of a parking space, and turned my right front wheel into a small island I forgot was there.
ScBlacksunshine recommended a local guy who repaired the polish lip with considerable ease. If you are in SoCal, a number of us locals have had very good work done by: Son Tran Onsite Wheels 714-742-6855 Related thread: http://socale90.com/forums/showthread.php?t=422 Before: http://socale90.com/forums/attachmen...1&d=1182299060 After: Tires appear flat because car is parked crooked on a sloping driveway: |

Son Tran will be at the "Mother" SoCal E9x Meet in Fountain Valley's Mile Regional Park July 14 to do wheel repairs for a reasonable cost for those interested.
Please RSVP for the event if you plan on attending, and indicate if you're interested in the wheel repair. This will help us organize the event better. http://socale90.com/forums/showthrea...=4938#post4938 |

I didn't know that. He is such a humble guy, and was asking so little for the repair that I was compelled to pay him a bit more.

You had a closeup of the curb rash (before) but no closeup after he fixes it? I like a closeup after shoot to see how good the repair is.

they got the best roads with least potholes to worry about, and then they got the best repairmen too!

He does alot of work for high end dealerships and clients here in LA. So he does not like to publically announce how much he charges us for fear that word would get out that he does things for alot cheaper than what he is charging the high end clients.
All I can say....you can easily get your wheel/wheels repaired for less than say...the cost of getting a full detail job done of your car. Just let him know you are on E90post and was referred by some of the members!

Good idea. Ill get one done later. Quite frankly, I cannot tell where the rash was. So ill check the before photos to figure that out.

What exactly do they do? I mean when you curb your wheels, some of the metal comes off, do they just polish it? Thanks

They get scrunched. The repair probably depends on the type of wheel and damage you have, but with mine, he used a combination of hand and air compressor tools to sand and polish the aluminum lip.

He is of mixed heritage. Definitely does not look "white".
