Production? How long does it take.

Hey guys my 1m coupe has just went into production 2 days ago and i was wondering how long it will take till productions over if anyone could give me a timeline and help me it would be great thanks

Here was my experience with timing:
111 Order Accepted at AG: 05/27/11
112 Order scheduled for Production: 06/03/11
150 Production Started: 06/10/11
153 Assembly Started: 06/21/11
155 Production Completed: 06/22/11
182 AG Load No. — Released to Carrier: 06/22/11
193 Arrived at Port of Exit: 06/25/11
195 Shipped from Port of Exit: 7/01/11
196 Shipment Arrival: 07/15/11

On our factory tour they told us how long it takes to build a car in Leipzig. I don't remember exactly though. I think he said almost 18 hours in the body shop... that goes from bare metal being stamped and welded togeher to form small subassemblies and then they form the complete chasiss then the car gets its rust corrosion and painted. Then the car moves down the line to have its final assembly done. I think that was another 9 hours. I want to say the entire process takes two days - before a finished car is ready for shipping. They did not tell us how long cars wait before they ship.

I know for me... I ordered my car on Dec 4th in 2009. two weeks later my car was being built. On the end of the fourth week my local BMW had the car sitting on its lot awaiting PDI. I took delivery two weeks later. I live in Germany... so I would imagine it will take longer for you.

Hopefully this is the common schedule. Mine just went 111 this week and I would love to be getting in the car in about 7 weeks before it gets too cold to enjoy it.
