To me the mod gives it a deeper rumble at the start up, and I can really hear it is when going down the road and letting off of the accelerator [it makes more of a deeper rumble] sounds oh so good.

you should also notice more noise on the over-run, a few pops and crackles. satisfies til i can afford a proper exhaust

I just did mine today and it DEFINITELY makes a difference. You can especially hear the difference in an underground parking garage. Also I noticed more burbling/crackling/popping whatever you call it when letting off the gas. I just disconnected it from inside the trunk.

+1 on same results.
I disconnected the hose, fit a bb from a bb-gun and reconnected the hose.
