Protective paint film

I scrape the lower front lip of my car fairly regularly on speed bumps, etc. Am thinking about fixing it up and then getting protective film put on (3M, etc).

Is the film strong enough to make a difference for that sort of thing, or just for stone chips, etc?

Thanks

Thanks Ian-- I remember noticing that your car had some velcro or something there and wishing I had done the same! Will give it some thought . . . got to decide if I bother to get the scrapes painted out before I put something on.

The tape method sounds like a good idea. Would love if you could share some pictures with us - I'd like to protect my beamers nose too

i say don't bother with any film etc if it's the occasional scrape and it's not visible unless you're prone under the front of car. front bar and rear exhaust scrapes happen.

agree, but if I scraped a $900 CF lip I'd be more upset
I have the Light Weight lip, cost us $400 in a GB, and it is milled hard core plastic whatever and is about 12 mill thick.
