haha, for sure, an old stripped out m3 with a roll cage, manual gearbox, semi slicks would be a great dedicated track car, the V8 is just awesome

The $125k version is missing some good optional extras, so not really good value compared with $110k 1M which was fully loaded.
If it ain't over heating then ya not pushin it

1M OR M3

1M OR M3 i will struggle to make the final call i love both cars. Today we have two M3 E92 cars in the shop for work and had two IMs during the day. They are a lot of fun each in there own way, i think the only way around this issue is to own both

think there's a decent reason, based on Nurburgring.

8:15 BMW 1 Series M Coupe

8:05 BMW M3 E92

8:39.2 for the BMW 135i??? didn't expect that thought it would be a lot quicker.

Just be nice if the fool can actually substantiate something for once

Maybe he could teach us something about the overheating 1M's as I'm very ignorant about this
I'll add it to the list

You pay $100,000 (not a typo, one-hundred thousand dollars) less for a full M3 than we do in OZ. No offence, but FU! (I mean that in jest, I know it's not your fault)

Yeah, I didn't mean it in a mean way. We do lose out on the better M3 models. Also locally, the M3s are more of a fashion statement than a performance car.

New C63 out next year....likely to be 4WD with Twin Turbo V8 AMG purpose-built....going to be a rush for sure.

Definitely going to be an interesting head to head with the new M3.

From the pictures, I think the new M3 looks much better than the new Benz but will reserve final judgement for when I see them in real life.

At the moment I would go for a C63 over the M3. A c63 coupe with slightly wider PSS can keep up with a stock M3 no problem and is faster in a straight line of course - esp. with the P31 package.

Having owned a 135i from new I expected it. The reviews all raved about it, but I have to say it didnt live up to my expectation, esp. when compared to proper sports cars. BUT for the price a manual, no-frills 135i is actually great value.

i think by straight line standards its way above. maybe it's the corners where it can get a little to loose. (time loss).
