Spraying BMW Performance Exhaust Tips Black?
Hey guys im planning on buying the performance exhaust from BMW once i get my car. Do you think its possible to get the tips Sprayed(or powdercoated or anything) black as i really like the stock color tips and i want my car to be all blacked out.
Would i have to cut the tips off to get it done or could i just get it done before i install the muffler to the car???... Thanks for the help guys....

You could also try plasti-cote as a test, don't sand them just clean them and spray, if you don't like the look it, peel it off.

I'm selling my OEM BMW 135i Black Tip Exhaust for half price off the dealer cost. My car is brand new and the exhausts for sale are in mint condition. Contact: opalsforever@gmail.com Robert

Don't use BBQ paint, it's a glossy black just like the barbeque grill it was intended for. Use a heat-resistant FLAT black paint... resistant to 1200 degrees, sold at any auto parts store.

high temp powder coat or ceramic coat will work, just take it to powdercoating specialist

That's weird. Every BBQ paint I've ever used on exhausts and BBQ's was a matte/satin finish. Maybe different brands have a different finish.

I just placed an order for a 2011 135. I'm getting the performance exhaust. After the order, I inquired about taking the black tips from stock exhaust, and fitting them to the performance setup. They said that, while it's an unusual request, they could do it. I'm mostly ignorant of exhausts... is my idea a bad/impractical one?
