Ichiban, I'm pretty sure you would rub the inner liner fairly regularly with a 9" wide rear 45 offset lowered that far. I have 9.5 inchers with 45 offsets with 245 rear tires, lowered 20mm, and very nicely rolled fenders and I rubbed a little for the first time today. You'd probably easily be able to fix your rub with a little extra camber, especially if combined with some fender mods.
That low and I'd bet the stock setup might even rub like mine, rarely, especially if carrying passengers. |

I'm looking for a set of track wheels so I'd like to know what the weights are. Rotas are typically cheap and light..
As far as the offsets go, shouldn't whoever is making a profit from the transaction do the testing necessary to figure out proper offsets ? Jeff |

Rota will have final say. If you like these wheels (which are fairly cheap and light), Post you are interested pending the final offset.

Well this is most likely going to happen as long as we start seeing some deposits. Zoeb |

Is +45 the final offset for the rear? I've been wanting this style wheel forever, but we need higher offsets than that for it to look right. If the offset is too high, we can always space them out, but if it's too low we're stuck with it. Lets see +50.
If we can get the right offsets, I'm in. |

The higher offset moves the wheel inward, toward the suspension. To get the concave look, you actually want to move it out, but we're going to be very limited with the 135i's factory offsets so high. Better IMO to have good fitment than concave looks on a wheel that rubs. |

You will still get the concave with the high offset. |

Very cool. If you guys get it right, you've got my money. I love CSLs, and BBS, but they just don't look great on our cars for some reason. This style is the best looking wheel I've seen yet on the 135i. (Not the same wheel exactly, but very similar) |

You're right, that's true to a point. Some of the wheels are using thinner mounting pads to get the concave look though, and it limits the mount of offset they can get. I'm interested to hear what the engineers come back with on this setup. It looks like it's got some meat around the mounting pad so hopefully there's enough there to give us what we need without compromising the wheels. |

This is my 18 x 9" rear with an et43 (with 255 Toyo R1R's on the rear), and they look awesome... I vote et45 rear, I do not want to run spacers.

I agree. I'll honestly be shocked if they can do >50 anyway. I like these wheels so much I may jump on them either way, but I'd really like to see something close to the stock offsets. From what I've read there's some wiggle room on the inside, especially on the rear, so I'd hope we could go with factory offsets and a half inch wider rim without rubbing. That way we know it would be ok on the outside and we might be able to go to 265s without rolling. FWIW, I didn't mean those wheels look bad, just not perfect. I'm not a huge fan of that style on the 135i. I'm being picky about wheel choice and offset because I only want to do it once, and I'm finding that on this car I don't like most wheels that look great on other BMWs. I'm not sure why that is though. |

Wheels choices are very subjective, some like big chrome wheels with rivits around the OD, some like OEM etc... Anyhoo, we shall see...
