Drove a F30 328i as a loaner for a day. Hated it, in comparison to my 135is. Squishy brakes, very floaty ride, no feel from the electric steering. E82 135is or E90 M3 for life.

Does it not automatically connect when you plug it into the usb under the arm rest? I think you'll see a Pandora option under the BMW Apps folder.

I've been in twice, and I finally got a reasonable explanation. I'll share so you're not surprised.

Basically, the wastegate actuator needs a little play in order to open and close properly. This "issue"will be present on brand new cars, since thats just the way it is. What happens is when you lightly apply throttle, then lift, the wastegate isn't thrown open all the way, and that is why you hear the rattling. If you're hearing the rattle only at low speeds, and after applying light throttle, they'll tell you its within spec, and not an issue. If you are hearing the noise under heavier throttle application, then they will pursue a fix - which is generally replacing the wastegate actuator rods, or sometimes the whole shebang.

I don't think mine does this, but my question is, is it just an annoying noise or something to be concerned about?

See my previous post. For now its just annoying, but changes in how it occurs could be a cause for concern in the future. Not thrilling news, but thems the breaks.

Eh, I won't worry about it unless and until it blows up or I hear something really bad and loud that seems abnormal. In the meantime I'll keep opening my wastegates and drop deuces and pray for no rattles.
