Calling on Texans
So, just bought a nice piece of land in Texas, New Braunfels, half way between Austin and San Antonio, and will be moving down there start building once I sell my house in NY. Before the big move I want to make sure to transition to a good dealership which is just as reliable and good as the one I am using. Took me 3 tries to find the one I am using now, and would hate to go through that again, anyone living in the area with some good suggestions?

Well, you only have two choices, BMW of San Antonio or BMW of Austin
Personally, I have been to BMW of San Antonio multiple times for service work, and have always been treated fairly and professionally. I always schedule service appointments with Mike Brehm, he is top notch. Never been to BMW Austin. There are plenty of independent repair shops around the area too, the only one I have had experience with is DBC Tuning in Northwest San Antonio, and they do great work. |

BMW Austin is awesome. If you need a BMW dealership I would use Austin and see a man named Charles Bellinger service advisor his number is 512-343-3531. I am from Killeen and in a pretty big MFEST club and we all go to him... Also in Round Rock my buddy T'erre just opened a shop called AutoOne (http://www.facebook.com/AutoOneTx?ref=ts&fref=ts)
Good example of why he is the man. I have a blown turbo due to waste gate failure. I brought my car to him (Its full bolt on) and they gave me a rental for a week and came the conclusion its the turbo... Told me to revert it to stock and they would fix it under the turbo warranty. I feel like most shops would tell me to bad since its heavily modded and flag me with BMWNA. |

I may be relocating to northern San Antonio soon. My partner will be working out of New Braunfels. Hope to see you around! Look for a Montego Blue 1er with California plates.

Great, many thanks for the reply, so either dealer is good, can't be any better than this.

I bought my wife's 135i at BMW of Austin. Very satisfied. Took the car in for her first service since buying the car and once again they met/exceeded my expectations.

I would highly agree with BMW of San Antonio. Also may I add that my rep Rio Arguello is also a very good customer relations person. |

Haha.. yep I'm a Nor-Cal'in from the SF East Bay. I should be finding out before Christmas if I'm making the move to TX. If so, I'll hit you up.

I've always gone to BMW of Austin and no complaints. Sounds like either one you go to you should be fine! Welcome!!!

I've dealt with BMW of Austin since 2001 (it was John Roberts BMW at the time); I just moved to Boerne (NW of SA) a few months ago and I'm still using BMW of Austin. They're now a Penske-owned dealership and I've worked with the same sales and service folks for years. Now that I'm in the SA area, I may give BMW of SA a try for scheduled service/maintenance on my wife's 128i, as I've heard that they have improved greatly over the past year and it's a much shorter drive.
