Meisterschaft GT....cutting required?

So I just placed an order for the Meis GT axle back portion to put on my E88 135 vert, the fitment is fine according to GThaus, but they weren't as clear on whether it was a true bolt on...They said something along the lines of "cut and clamp", but at least from the pictures on their website it looks as if it just bolts onto the factory mid pipe. I don't really care if i have to get a little cutting done since a mechanic will be doing it regardless of whether it's bolt-on, but I just wanted to see if any of you guys had clarification based on past experience with the E82/88 Meisterschaft system w/out the GThaus midpipes. I've searched high and low on the forums, so my apologies in advance if this question is obvious or has been answered before. Thanks for the help guys.

Judging by the picture I can't see why it wouldn't just be a direct bolt on to the midpipe.

It bolts on directly with no cutting/modifications in the e82 coupe.

Thanks for the replies guys, I was baffled by the whole "cut and clamp" thing, it seems like a straight up bolt on deal. And they said it was designed to fit the vert fine, so that shouldn't be an issue. I just checked the underbody today and it didn't seem any different from the coupe to the mid pipe, so the fitment should be A OK. If anyone else cares to chime in feel free

They might have thought you have a 128i because the axleback portion is not separate from the rest of the exhaust, so the cutting would indeed be required. But I'm honestly still not sure if it's "cut and clamp" because the 128i might be a tiny bit narrower as well... Weird.

That certainly makes more sense, the 135 appears to be a simple bolt on/exhaust hanger type deal to the midpipe....Oh well, the order invoice is for my E88 (135i cabrio on the form) so maybe we were just talking past each other on the phone. It should ship tomorrow and arrive on Fri or Mon, so hopefully i'll have it on the car by the weekend or at the latest early next week, shouldn't take long to install at all. I'll keep you guys posted, thanks again for the help...This better fit

Looking forward to the video, I'm looking for an axle back myself but am having a hard time justifying the cost of the Meisterschaft.

Ya ill make sure to keep you updated, it should sound pretty mean...the price requires some testicular fortitude, but ultimately i decided to go with GThaus. Hopefully itll be here soon.
