Brands Hatch Indy Open Pit Trackday 26.07.2012
Few pics of my 1M's first track outing. Took it fairly easy, was surrounded by race cars testing at same time so tried to keep out of the way.
Car managed it absolutely fine, no brake fade, no overheating in 30 deg C temps. Just really planted and really balanced. Will defo be back! |

Great great ,car looks awesome, what was your prior track car ? I've only been a passenger with an instructor and it was a 1M. All nannies off and it was amazing too see and feel what my car could do if I grew some and drove it like it was meant to be driven.

Thanks! I have to admit I had it in MDM and sport... I'm quite used to this track and I reckon I could collect most slides on most of the circuit safely. However, I didn't want to pitch it into the gravel at Paddock Hill which I was approaching at 120mph. Despite that the car still moves enough to cause clenching.
Had a FN2 Honda Civic Type R before which is a completely different animal. Also had a few runs in a Seat Leon FR and an X5 3.0d. Track day was an MSV event Aussie. Well run but lots of cars on track. (event was sold out). |

Alas most cars were on slicks at that event so they caught me up in corners and on brakes! |
