Thanks for the kind words guys, I just got back from testing my car from 0 - 100 the best way i can. I tried to launch it with traction off and stood on the brake then stomp on the gas..wait until 2000 - 2500 RPM then released the brake and off she went. The only prob was that I usually got alot of wheelspin however the one time i didnt get much i recorded a 4.98 which is not bad. I took video the only prob is that it was at night so the quality is not the best but the sound is great I will upload it to youtube as soon as i can. any hints or tips are welcome.

Cheers,

Matt.

Welcome Orlin. Wow that's a quick time. Haven't tried launching with TC off, but have tried it with DTC. Got a bit of wheel spin then she just took off. Didn't time myself though but it felt QUICK.

thanks d3syd, I might give that a go in my next test. I did try once with DTC on to see if it will help me with my wheelspin and it seemed to bogdown however I may have just not launched it at the correct amount of revs so ill give it another go soon and post result.

Welcome Matt.
Beautiful car.
Good to see another 1 on the road.
(by the way, If you have a Coupe, it's an E82....The E87 is a 5 door Hatch)

hi mate, when I first got my car I was under the impression that I had an E82 however when I read the metal plate under the bonnet it says 1 Series-E87, why would this be? could it be an error at factory?

I don't have a good answer to that one.
Everything I've read says E87=Hatch.
Maybe it is an error, in which case you have a one of a kind car that is worth, like 4 times what you paid for it...
