Can we get power seats out of the premium package?

Since we're trying to influence how they package options, I thought I would take a long shot even though the packages seem to be set (just may make some more options available individually). I have absolutely no need for power seats and don't like the weight they add to the car. I can live with the other options in the premium package...I don't care about ambiance lighting but can't imagine it adds a ton of cost or weight. If this is supposed to be such a driver's car and they were so focused on cheap ways to reduce weight (e.g., no sunroof), why would they force us to get power seats if we want the items in the convenience package or the premium package?! So, I would be OK with what they have proposed for options and packages if they would just take power seats out of the premium package and make it a standalone option (leave lumbar support in, I'm not as young as a lot of the guys in this forum). I'll even beg. If that wont fly, let me take convenience without premium and separately add USB and bluetooth/BMW assist.

This would be nice as power seats is the only option I really want. I really do not care for any of the other items offered in the premium package.

I would rather be able to order the convenience package alone but out of the Premium package the option I want THE LEAST are those heavy-@ss power seats

Not happening- the premium package always includes power seats. Let's be realistic here, they are not going to decontent typical BMW packaging, they are just making a few options individually available and that is more than enough, the more options they offer individually the more the car costs to build and margins are tight already.

Welcome to UK car buying!

My 1M will cost £40k from the factory, yet I have to spend £5k in options.

So Michael, I'm assuming this means that there's no hope of getting the Convenience Package without also getting the Premium Package huh?

Not to mention the mechanical seats are far superior for letting people into the back. The tilt and slide is one lever/motion instead of tilt, then push button and wait for the power seat to slide. I extremely dislike the power seats.

Do the mechanical seats offer a fine range of adjustment like you get with the power seats? I'm not extraordinarily picky about seat placement, but sometimes a half-inch either way makes a big difference.

I am more pissed off that they are making steptronic a no cost option while increasing the msrp by 1500.00 I prefer manual transmission... its amazing that I do not get a credit for ordering a manual which is what I prefer.

I just want iPod/USB, Navi, and heated seats without anything else. I'd even be willing to compromise on the navi. I dislike power seats, and I'm unwilling to be forced into buying expensive packages of features I don't want/won't use.

I'm in the same boat. I'll probably give up Nav if the make me buy both pkgs.
Plus at that point the new Escort Radar/Nav would look good. The only real reason I want nav is because of the iPod album and maybe internet radio/Pandora if this car gets it anyway.
