I think this person is one of the few who realize what is needed to make the 135i a fast car.
Move your 3rd option of Driving School to first and you will smoke most boy racers on a track any day.
Everyone who's going crazy with coilovers, sway bars, lighter wheels/tires etc and say they are trying to make the car faster are just going for poser points. The car can only be as quick as the driver. Learn to drive the car stock and then begin to mod in search of those 1/10th on a track.

The only performance mod that I would consider off the bat is the Procede V2.x.x to tune for best track performance.

As for the driving school I recommend Skip Barber.
Oh and as they say at Skip Barber, when you spin/crash don't close your eyes, you'll miss the best part.

The 1 mod I won't be able to do without? Clear bra. No question.

Wheels are possible, we'll see what tire sizes fit on these things... CSL/ZCP's would more than likely be my choice of wheel.

Buy a set of 19" Alpina rims, keep the runflats for when I chop the car in at the end of the lease

Blue/red stripe (2002 retro look) for giggles

Rest of the car is superfine as it is - don't want to corrupt the ride, and it'll be fast enough.

In chronological order by priority, being realistic with the $$$, doing one at a time:
1. -CDV
» Had to look this one up, not being a previous BMW owner, but definitely a priority now!

2. Procede v2.xx
» +80hp +100ft-lbs. Yes, please.

3. 65 or 80% Tint all the way around
» Legality and personal preference to make all the windows the same shade

4. 19x8.5 front, 19x9.5 rear CSL or M6 reps with summer tires
» Winter tires on the stocks

5. TBE
» Make it flow and sound mean! Come on, Shiv!

6. Escort Passport hardwired
» Procede + TBE = Speed + Attention

7. Swaybars
» I have a feeling the stock suspension will be fine for me

8. Debadge, blackout headlights, blackout grille, black roundels
» I LOVE dark gray BMWs with a full blackout package

9. FMIC
» Cool down that charge!

10. Dinan Intake
» Or another company with a better reputation

This will probably sort itself out over the course of 2 years or so, but the Procede I might order before delivery of the car!

Well, assuming I get tint @ the dealership when I buy the car, the first mods will be:

1) Dinan front and rear strut braces (had this on my past 2 3 series and they make a noticable difference)
2) 18" lightweight wheels (OZ Superleggera black or price no object Dymag carbon/magnesium)
3) KW variant 2 coil-overs
4) Dinan intake/chip
5) Dinan exhaust

3) Aftermarket spring or coilover (PSS9, Sportline, KW V2)

4) Aftermarket exhaust
5) painted eyelids?
Those look like mods from a baller list... :w00t:

I didn't realise this car had a CDV! In that case, I'll have that disable while the new wheels and tires are being mounted. Since people are listing mods after 1....

2. BMWCCA car control clinic or DE! (along with new pads and fluid)
3. Same as above
4. We'll see what the car needs after a few auto-xs/DEs, I'm guessing: Stiffer rear sway bar would be next on the list, then some sort of chiptuning, because this car will be much more than just a track whore :-D

#1 CLEAR BRA
I agree... wont drive on the highway w/o one.
Nothing beats it when you want to sell the car, and the front end is still MINT 5 years later after you take it off... you'll get what you ask for.

#2 EM + exhaust package, preferably with custom flash/dyno tune.

#3 short shifter or new linkage bushings depending on gearbox feel
OR
sways depending on stock sport ride quality.

the release of the car will be a great opportunity for the crowd to take advantage of group buys.

1. Clear Bra (Not sure the pattern will be available for the car at interduction) :frown:

2. Procede (Again Shiv might not have it for the 135i at release)

3. Non Runflats after the oem's ware out. (Hopefully 225/255 if that fits)

4. Maybe a front strut bar.

5. Maybe light blackout if its not to hard to do. Reduce the size of the front lights.

Thanks about it. Maybe different rims.
