Vorshlag looking for a 1M to test camber plates with OEM spring perches

To mate up a stock 1M spring with a camber plate without raising the ride height is a difficult job, but we are about to have prototypes made of the parts to do it and we are looking for a 1M in the DFW area to help us test fit them. Ideally this will someone that tracks their car.

We'll need your car for a day to fit the parts, re-align it and photograph it. We would also like to do a checkup on it a few weeks later.

Any idea when the plates would be ready for sale?

The Alpha-prototype parts are being machined right now. We will try to find two local test cars to run them on and keep tabs on them for at least a couple track events and a few weeks or so of street driving. If those go well we will run a short production batch. If the production batch sell well, we will run a larger batch and add them to our catalog.

I hate giving timelines because we can't foresee all the potential issues. We might end up scrapping this design and going back to a clean sheet if there are issues. Or everything might go to plan and we could have them in our catalog in early August. Either way we will be posting about it on our project pages.

Sounds awesome Jason. Assuming alpha testing goes well, put me on the list for the production batch. I track my 1M fairly frequently and would be more than happy to provide generous feedback/photos etc. I'll send you a PM.

Prototypes are at the platers with some other parts to be anodized.

True. We had the perch on our development list, but M3-Adjuster made us move it into the priority list.

I've had nothing but negative experience with the competition's plates and I've reverted to stock. Can't wait to hear more about these since I'm shredding tires badly with 0 camber.

Prototype perches are back from the platers and we have a set built up to go on our first 1M tester later this week. After we verify the install on that car I'll contact the local guys on my list for the second spot.

We went with red. Seems to be our color.

At crazy angles they still have clearance between the unmolested bolt head and perch and they have the same perch height as the OEM perches.

Here's the perch with the OEM rubber isolator on it. Shame to cover up all that red aluminum.

Just got my prototoypes installed today.. Prototype sounds so crude actually.. I would have to say these are pretty much production, as today they were able to fully vet out some sizing on some minor pieces (bearings?) by having an actual car to install the plates on.

The fellows at Vorshlag babied the car like it was their own.. and Terry wouldn't let it leave the shop until it was perfect.

No photos.. sorry... I had to work... plus I know that Fair/Jason were documenting the install much better than I could with an iphone. I am probably being seduced my a fresh alignment... ( I did have a minor steering wheel I had noticed recently) but on the drive home, the car tracked very well! We set the car up at approx -2.5 degrees on each side up front. Looks like the MAX with a stock ride height and setup is going to be a few ticks under -3.. I believe they measured 2.8 on my car at full deflection.

I am very impressed with the design... the photos above show how the plates can articulate without contact.
I'll be putting on some street miles and taking the car out to autocross in the next few weeks and will report more!

I hear you on the shredding.. even using takeoffs on track and rotating to all four corners, I was throwing away a lot of tire.
